They \"cure\" for 4 - 6 weeks before selling them. Curing is the process of allowing saponification to complete and for water to evaporate out. In this way, the soap is dry, harder, milder and the lye non-existent in the finished product. It takes about 4 to 6 weeks for a soap to dry and the lye to be totally transformed.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWith just a little care and feeding (and a lot of common sense), you can prolong the life of your new organic bar soaps.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e🧼Don't let your soap drown in water. Built-in soap dishes are notorious for that. Feed your soap plenty of fresh air between uses.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e🧼The drier it gets, the longer it will last. Store your soap on a well drained soap dish at all times, unless of course, you like soggy soap.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e🧼Use a cotton wash cloth, exfoliating bag, or a loofah to extend its life rather than rubbing the bar all over yourself.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003e🧼Store unused soap in a dark, dry, room temp place like a lingerie drawer or linen closet.
